Coordinator of Care Ministries
Karen has been doing visitation ministry for over 15 years and also works part-time as a chaplain at local hospitals where she continually has opportunities to care for the ill, the dying, and their families in the community. As a trained Stephen Minister, Karen now trains and leads our Journey Coaches. These Journey Coaches walk alongside people going through difficult times in their lives.
Karen’s passion is caring for people and bringing people comfort, hope, and truth through prayer and God’s Word. Karen loves to listen to the Lord and plan her work life around what the Lord is saying.
Karen’s personal “life statement”, written after she studied Mother Teresa’s life, is “I want my life to express the love of Jesus, the love of the cross, loving as I have been loved, and putting love into everything I do. Whatever I think, say, or do, I want to do it for Jesus. God is my power.”
